Alireza Sagharchi R.I.B.A., BA (Hons), Dip. Arch. is the principal of Stanhope Gate Architecture + Urban Design, which specialises in masterplanning high quality Resort, Hotel and Residential developments. He received his Diploma in Architecture from the University of Westminster [PCL], London, and has been a corporate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects since 1986.
During his professional career, Alireza has been responsible for a number of high-profile projects, including masterplanning in the commercial, resort/leisure and private residential sectors, in the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East. Notable among these projects are master plans for residential resorts in Croatia and Romania, Embassies in Mayfair and Belgravia, London, a Palace complex in Madrid and masterplanning of equestrian facilities in Spain and major residences in the middle-east. He was formerly the senior associate in charge at the firm of Porphyrios Associates for the New Quadrangle and Theatre for Magdalen College, Oxford; the Kings Cross regeneration preliminary master plan, London; Princeton University Whitman College Masterplan, major office buildings in Brindleyplace, Birmingham, England; the Forbury Masterplan and office building in Reading, England, for Argent Development Consortium, and five-star hotel projects in Germany, Greece and Egypt.
Alireza has taught at the Prince of Wales' Institute of Architecture, and lectured at The Princes Foundation. He has been a visiting critic the University of Notre Dame Rome Programme, Greenwich University and Yale. He is a founder member and the current Chairman of the Traditional Architecture Group at the R.I.B.A. He is a member of the Prince's Foundation, the College of Practitioners of the International Network for Traditional Building Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU) and sits on the Casework Panel of the Georgian Group. He is also a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts.
Zuber Débar, Dip Arch R.I.B.A., received his BA with Honours in Architecture in 1999 and graduated in 2002 from University of North London with a Diploma in Architecture. He became a Chartered Architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects in 2006.
He is an Associate of Stanhope Gate Architecture and Urban Design, with over seven years of experience in dealing with high end residential projects, he has been project leader and associate in charge for the refurbishment and new extensions of a number of major London and country residences as well as a palace complex in Madrid.
Jan Hauger, B.Arch (Hons), B.A. LASc (Hons), is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. As associate, he has been project leader for the refurbishment and expansion of a large London residence, as well as for two substantial residences in the Middle East, one in the Classical style and the other in a traditional Islamic style. He currently also project leads two Grade-II terrace house refurbishments in Belgravia. In his previous position as an Associate of Robert Adam Architects he was Design Coordinator for the architecture and interiors of several prestigious new-build country houses throughout England. Jan gained his Certificate in Professional Practice and Management in Architecture at the Bartlett, University College, London, in 2007. He is a member of the Traditional Architecture Group and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Monuments.
